You know one thing that’s always bothered me? Male birds. They always look the best. They’re the colorful ones while the females are dull looking. Humans are quite the opposite, aren’t we? Look at cardinals, peacocks, blue birds, etc. It is time to start giving some beauty back to these little ladies. I have one daughter that, ever since I can remember, has been fascinated with birds. Funny enough, I received a tiny bird bath as a gift when she was born. This project made her and her siblings so excited. I don’t come from a biblical background so when I see my children reading the Bible or teaching me my heart swells. That is what happened a couple days ago. I was sitting on the couch with my ten year old who was reading excitedly in her Bible.
“Oh wow! Oh this is so cool!”
I ask her what it was and she took off to grab some paper. She explained that she was going to write out a timeline. So here, I want to share with you what she shared with me. This sweet lil cherub teaches me new things in His word constantly. I may just have to dedicate Sunday blog posts to her teachings. So here is your Sunday School lesson for the day.

I even received a gift card from my incredibly thoughtful mother in law when she knew I was having a rough time. My soul smiled wide when I opened that card.

Jesus regularly took time away. He would escape from the crowds. He would seek time with His Father. So why, if we’re supposed to be like Christ, is it so hard for us to step away from all the demands we place on ourselves? Just like a plant that stays out in the sun and only receives dribbles of water, once a week, we will dry up and will bear no spiritual fruit.
